Tucson Airport Authority Selects GCR for Comprehensive Management System

The Tucson Airport Authority selected GCR & Associates to develop and implement a new integrated airport management system using GCR’s comprehensive Airport IQ Suite of Airport Intelligence software. The system is built around GCR’s state-of-the-art airport management applications, but also includes a new financial management and ERP system. When completed, the system will integrate and improve the operation of dozens of management functions.

Like many airport agencies, the Tucson Airport Authority faces the challenge of a growing infrastructure. It decided that it was time to implement a comprehensive system to manage the Tucson International Airport and its general aviation reliever, Ryan Airfield. After an exhaustive search, the Tucson Airport Authority selected GCR as the prime consultant for this assignment. “GCR’s Airport IQ suite of systems stood out as a complete solution to meet our needs,” said Jim Liebeskind, TAA’s Director of Purchasing.

The GCR system will be integrated to provide both real-time flight tracking for the airports, as well as reporting of airline activities, such as landings. A property management module will provide a holistic view of tenant activities, properties, and facilities and help manage the airport’s capital program—from initial planning, cash flow analysis to the management of contracts and payment of invoices.

GCR will also implement the Oracle E-Business Suite of financial systems at the airport. The level of integration between the GCR and Oracle suites will be unparalleled, and will provide a truly comprehensive, single point-of-entry airport management solution.

“ With GCR’s creative approach to building systems which solve complex airport issues, we are confident that the Tucson Airport Authority’s Integrated Airport Management System will be a huge success,” said Jim Liebeskind.
