GCR's History in Aviation
GCR began as a planning firm, and aviation planning has remained at the heart of what we do. In 1986, Building upon detailed knowledge of the industry, GCR introduced the Airport Information Management System (AIMS) to the aviation community. This technology is now used by the aviation management departments of at least 36 states, by dozens of individual airports throughout the United States, and by the FAA. AIMS has evolved into an extensive list of specialized modules designed to support the entire aviation community.

The various AIMS applications have been redeveloped and integrated into the next generation of aviation software: the Airport IQ Suite of Airport Intelligence Software. While the basic features of AIMS remain, the consolidation of various applications into the Airport IQ suite allows GCR to distribute new enhancements across the entire suite and to maximize the use of new operating systems and the Internet. Utilizing Microsoft's .NET technology for many of the latest Airport IQ applications, GCR has harnessed the power of the internet and related technologies to usher in the future of aviation technology.

In addition to our diverse technology offerings, we haven't forgotten our roots as a planning firm. While innovating through technology with Airport IQ, we have continued to grow our planning practice to now serve clients throughout the nation.
